UIRA Update No 16. We have been busy! Back in August in the depth of the Tasmanian winter ( Update 14) Matt and Jeremy carefully reversed the drafting process that Charles Bailey Junior used to create UIRA almost 125 years ago. With as much secrecy that is possible in our small community such as Cygnet, the resulting plans were given to local model maker John Keep to create a model of UIRA. Commissioned as a very special gift to UIRA'S owner for an equally special birthday the resulting model built with incredible detail including her triple diagonal New Zealand Kauri hull is amazing and a credit to John!
