UIRA Update No 15. For all those that were worried that we'd forgotten the darling of the shed, fear not! 😊 After lots and lots of sanding we reached a huge milestone this week with the first of many layers of paint to be applied to the interior of the hull. Matt did the honours of applying the first lick of paint. In what we hope will be a window into UIRA'S past, we have clear finished parts of her main and foward cabin to show her beautiful New Zealand Kauri diagonal construction complete with the scars obtained over 124 years of her existence.
